The Quantum Theoretical Oscillator

The simple harmonic oscillator can be used, besides other applications, to describe aspects of a diatomic molecule. The energy spectrum of such a molecule (inferable from infrared spectroscopy or inelastic scattering) can be predicted by using that model.

This page presents three versions of an approach to the calculative problem of the energy eigenproblem of the quantum theoretical oscillator.
